Welcome to CamCalc.io ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the purchase and use of our products, including modified calculator hardware sold through this website, including the CamCalc system installed on modified Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus devices.

By purchasing, accessing, or using our products, you agree to these Terms.

1. Product Description

We sell modified calculator hardware that includes custom-installed internal hardware, interfaces, and software features.

Products are independently modified devices and are not manufactured, authorized, sponsored, or endorsed by Texas Instruments.

Each product may vary slightly due to hardware installation, calibration, testing, or product updates.

2. Use Responsibility

You are solely responsible for how the product is used.

This includes compliance with: school rules, exam policies, institutional restrictions, and local laws.

We do not guarantee that the product is permitted in any classroom, testing center, or regulated environment.

Use of the product in any unauthorized environment is entirely at the user's own responsibility.

3. Licensing and Device Identification

Each calculator may contain a unique identifier linked to the calculator and purchaser.

Identifiers may be used for: licensing, product control, support, abuse prevention, and security.

Tampering with identifiers, licensing systems, hardware protections, or internal components may result in immediate restriction of support or product functionality.

4. Logging and Monitoring

CamCalc may record operational activity including: feature usage, device activity, licensing events, security-related events, and diagnostic information.

Logs may be reviewed to: improve product reliability, diagnose issues, investigate abuse, and enforce licensing.

Logs and identifiers may be retained and used when responding to fraud, disputes, abuse reports, or legal requests.

Information may be shared with third parties where reasonably necessary for: payment disputes, fraud prevention, abuse investigation, and legal compliance.

5. Product Availability and Feature Control

CamCalc features, services, or functionality may be modified, restricted, suspended, or disabled at any time where reasonably necessary for: security, licensing enforcement, abuse prevention, technical maintenance, product changes, and policy enforcement.

If product activity indicates unauthorized use, tampering, dishonest conduct, prohibited use, or use in unauthorized environments, functionality may be restricted or disabled without prior notice.

We reserve sole discretion to determine when such action is necessary.

6. Orders, Payment, and Final Sale

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you are purchasing a custom modified physical product.

All sales are final except where the product arrives materially broken or non-functional at delivery.

Refunds are not provided for: change of mind, dissatisfaction after delivery, compatibility expectations outside product description, school or exam restrictions, or later feature limitations or product changes.

Because each product includes custom modification, testing, and fulfillment, buyers agree not to initiate payment disputes or chargebacks inconsistent with these Terms.

If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated without valid basis, we reserve the right to: suspend support, restrict future purchases, disable product-related services, and submit shipment confirmation, order records, device identifiers, and activity logs in dispute resolution through Stripe or other payment providers.

7. Returns and Limited Defect Coverage

Returns are not accepted except in cases where the product arrives broken or non-functional.

Any defect must be reported promptly after delivery.

Coverage applies only to confirmed defects present at delivery.

Coverage does not apply to: accidental damage, misuse, opening the device, unauthorized repair, liquid exposure, impact damage, battery-related damage, or user modification.

Because the product is modified hardware, manufacturer warranty may no longer apply.

8. Hardware Limitations

Opening, modifying, repairing, or altering the calculator without authorization may void support.

We are not responsible for failures caused by unauthorized changes or improper handling.

9. Abuse, Fraud, and Enforcement

We reserve the right to deny support, restrict service, disable functionality, cancel future orders, or refuse future transactions in cases involving: fraud, abuse, tampering, unauthorized resale, deceptive conduct, chargebacks, or policy violations.

10. Disclaimer of Warranty

Products are provided "as is" except where required by law.

We do not guarantee: uninterrupted operation, acceptance in exams or schools, compatibility with every environment, or permanent feature availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for: exam consequences, disciplinary action, denied testing access, indirect damages, lost opportunities, or lost data.

Maximum liability is limited to the purchase price paid.

12. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time.

Continued use of the product or website constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
